RedBird Capital confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rejoined AC Milan as the team’s senior advisor to the club’s ownership and senior management.

RedBird Capital Partners owner Gerry Cardinale has appointed Ibrahimovic as an operating partner in the sports and media investments of the 19-time Serie A champions.
Not only that, the Swedish footballer will also take on the position of senior advisor to the club’s ownership and senior management, who can assist the coach’s plans.
“RedBird has partnered with some of the world’s greatest athletes, teams and business figures. I look forward to contributing to their investment activities in sports, media and entertainment,” continued Ibra.
The 42-year-old admitted that he loves the Rossoneri very much and the opportunity to be part of the team’s future in a meaningful way is something he dreams of.
Milan are indeed looking to the future under the ownership of Gerry Cardinale. Referring to the team’s plan which prioritizes young players and hopes of becoming the most successful team in the world again.
“I have thought long and hard about the first steps in my post-playing career, and I am very excited to start that journey as a member of RedBird and Milan,” said the former Ajax Amsterdam and Inter Milan player.
On the other hand, Cardinale commented on Ibrahimovic’s return to the San Siro Stadium by saying that Milan are lucky to be able to collaborate and work with a figure of Ibrahimovic’s caliber again.
“Not only a winner on the pitch, but Ibra has a high intelligence and business sense. The respect he is given as a player, and his diverse skills as an entrepreneur are a strong combination for AC Milan and RedBird,” explained Cardinale.
